भारत के पश्चिम मे स्थित गुजरात भारत का एक बहुत खूबसूरत राज्य है। गुजरात में पर्यावरण-प्रणालियों की एक बेजोड़ विविधता है जो राज्य के समृद्ध और विविध पक्षी जीवन में परिलक्षित होती है ।

गुजरात भौगोलिक दृष्टि से नम वनाच्छादित पहाड़ियों के Dangs जिले में दक्षिण-पूर्व के लिए नमक-encrusted रेगिस्तान मैदानों के कच्छ जिले के उत्तर-पश्चिम में गुजरात, पर्णपाती जंगलों की तरह गिर राष्ट्रीय पार्क और वन्यजीव अभयारण्य, विशाल घास के मैदानों के कच्छ और राजकोट जिलों, साफ़-जंगलों, नदी-सिस्टम की तरह नर्मदा, माही, साबरमती और ताप्ती, एक भीड़ की झीलों और अन्य झीलों के लिए जाना जाता है।
